Welcome to the 4th international interdisciplinary conference of the New European Surgical Academy.
Since its foundation, the NESA has set up a very high scientific bar. Surgeons from different disciplines were able to find a platform for exchange of ideas and to update themselves on novelties in other disciplines. As a result, many new ideas emerged, such as single-entry surgery in Natural Orifice Surgery or the Trans-Oral Thyroidectomy.

This year, we combine the NESA Days with the 5th Breast Symposium. It will enable surgeons to be stimulated by internationally renowned experienced surgeons from different disciplines. During the conference workshops, the recent achievements and progress in robotic surgery will be presented, young surgeons will be able to learn about optimal scientific writing, and surgeons, who are always working under high emotional pressure, will be able to participate in a session designed to reduce psychic stress.

The locations chosen this year, the city of Athens, which belongs to the World Cultural Heritage, enables our participants to visit historic places such as the city’s museums and the Acropolis, which is situated just above the conference location.
