Venues and dates
The NESA Congress 2009 will take place in Athens, from May 28 - 30, 2009 at the Aegli Zappeion
(Address: Garden Zappeiou, Athens, Greece 105 57 Tel: +30 2103369363, website: www.aeglizappiou.gr).
Language
The official language of the 5th Breast Symposium will be Greek and for the NESA Congress 2009 will be
English.
Smoking policy
Smoking is prohibited at all times in the meeting halls, exhibit halls and restrooms. Your compliance is
appreciated.
Mobile phones
Please note that mobile phones must be switched off during all sessions.
Exhibition
A commercial exhibition of pharmaceutical items and technical equipment will take place in the Exhibition
Hall.
Oral Presentations
All authors have been informed in writing of details concerning the exact time, day and duration of their
presentation. Sessions of oral presentations are held on Friday, May 29 and Saturday, May 30. All Congress
Halls are equipped with data video projectors for Power Point presentations, laser pointers etc.
Poster Presentations
Posters have been numbered and listed according to the Scientific Committee’s instructions.
Posters will be affixed at the Poster Area.
All Posters should be mounted, on Friday, May 29, 2009, between 08.00-09.00 hours and
dismounted on Saturday, May 30, 2009 after 20.00 hrs.
Posters Size: Maximum width: 70 cm, Maximum Height 120 cm. Only scotch tape and self-adhesive
pads are allowed.
PC Reception
A preview room with a PC reception desk for acceptance and checking of PC floppy disks (3.5’’ / 1.44MB),
on a CD or on a “disk on Key” (external memory stick), will be located near the Congress Halls. All PC
disks should be clearly labelled with the author’s name and the respective session. Speakers are kindly requested
to provide their PC disks at least one hour prior to their respective
presentation.
Certificate of Attendance
A certificate of attendance will be given to each registrant participant, during Congress.
Continuing Medical Education (CME) Credit
The NESA Congress 2009 has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing
Medical Education (EACCMEUEMS) with 15 CME-CPD credits

Insurance
The NESA Congress 2009 accepts no liability for any personal injury, loss or damage of property belonging
or additional expenses incurred to Congress participants either during the Congress or as result
of delays, strikes or any other circumstances. Participants are requested to make their own arrangements
with respect to health and travel insurance.
Shopping in Athens
In Athens the usual opening hours for shops are:
- Monday, Wednesday & Saturday from 09.30-14.30 hours
- Tuesday, Thursday & Friday from 09.30-14.30 hours and from 17.30-20.30 hours
These times are not always strictly adhered to. Many shops in tourist resorts are open seven days a week.
Department’s stores and supermarkets are open from 09.00-20.00 hours (Monday-Friday) and from 08.00-
15.00 hrs (Saturday) and are closed on Sunday.
Post offices are open from 07.30-14:00 hours (Monday-Friday)
Weather
Typically Mediterranean climate. Athens enjoys relatively mild winters and lovely, temperate autumns and
springs. The climate is pleasant, and sunshine is plentiful. May is warm without being stifling and the temperature
ranges from 20°C to 28°C.
Transportation
Athens Airport
The Athens International Airport is located in Spata, 27 Kms north-east of Athens and handles all international
and domestic flights.

From Airport by Bus:
Three express lines serve the Athens International Airport to Athens City Center on a 24 hours basis.
The bus line E95 (Direction Syntagma) serves Athens City center (Syntagma, Constitution Square

Current ticket price for the airport express line is € 3,20. It allows for unlimited travel by all transport
modes (bus, trolley and metro) for 24 hours from the time of its validation during first trip (validates only
once).
From Airport by Taxi:
An average journey by taxi from Eleftherios Venizelos Airport to City Centre should take approximately
30- 45 minutes, depending on the traffic. The cost of the ride should be around € 28-30 per way.

fee: 80 Euro (including drinks & Transportation). A concert of classical music will be performed by the
soprano Irit Stark.

Cancellation Policy for Registration & Hotel Accommodation
• The deadline for cancellation of registration is April 20th, 2009. The Congress Secretariat should be
notified in writing.
• Payment minus an administration fee of € 50 will be refunded after the Congress, in case of a cancellation
before April 20th, 2009.
• Please note that no refunds can be made in case of a cancellation after April 20th, 2009.
All changes or cancellations for Hotel Accommodation have to be made in writing to ERA Ltd. Please do
not contact the hotel directly
1. Written cancellation received by March 15th, 2009: Full refund less € 25 administration fees will be
charged.
2. Written cancellation received by March 20th, 2009: 1 night cancellation fee apply.
3. Written cancellation received by May 5th 2009: 2 night’s cancellation fees apply.
4. Written cancellation received after May 5th, 2009 and onward: No refund.
In the event of non-arrival, the hotel will automatically release the reservation and payment will be nonrefundable.
